Dive Insight:
Since its inception nearly 15 years ago, EcoEnergy Insights has helped customers realize over 6 million kilowatt hours in energy savings globally, Carrier said in the release.
Carrier Abound’s combination of “innovative technology, advanced analytics and advisory services” aims to leverage Carrier’s expertise in energy-efficient HVAC systems to improve operational efficiencies, drive customer engagement and enable smarter, more sustainable building management, Carrier said.
Carrier delivered a strong second quarter of 2024, led by strength in its HVAC segment, according to a July 25 earnings release. Continued strength in Carrier’s commercial and light commercial HVAC businesses, which both grew by double digits year over year, led the company’s HVAC sales growth in the Americas, it reported.
Carrier said in its second quarter earnings presentation it has successfully integrated Viessmann Climate Solutions, a provider of intelligent heating and energy solutions, since the January acquisition. That acquisition, alongside the completed and intended sales of its Global Access Solutions and Industrial Fire businesses, are part of the group’s transition to a “pureplay climate and energy solutions portfolio,” it said.
Integrating EcoEnergy Insights into the Carrier brand “marks a pivotal step in Carrier's transformation journey to become a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions," Mead Rusert, vice president of building technologies, said in a statement.
