Dive Brief:
- Enlighted, a Siemens-owned property technology firm, is expanding the use of AI in its location intelligence tool and adding new partners to its ecosystem.
- By incorporating AI models to its real-time location services system, Enlighted says it has achieved asset and personnel location accuracy exceeding 98% — an improvement over prior traditional triangulation methods, which offered 80% accuracy, it said in a Sept. 26 release.
- Enlighted said it has also partnered with healthcare solution provider Tagnos and smart building systems firm Zan Compute **so they can to** leverage the value of **Enlighted’s its** IoT building data.
Dive Insight:
Enlighted’s Location Intelligence tool draws on machine learning algorithms to track the location and movements of assets and people, via employee badges, within existing smart lighting infrastructure. Having near-perfect accuracy in such tracking is particularly critical in the healthcare and manufacturing sectors, Enlighted said. Because the tool uses existing Bluetooth-enabled lighting control sensors, implementation costs are reduced, it said.
“Sensors in smart buildings collect an enormous amount of data,” Enlighted CEO Stefan Schwab said in the release. AI-based applications not only help commercial buildings maximize and use that data, but also optimize efficiency and improve overall occupant experience, Schwab said.
The proptech firm also has broadened its partner network by adding firms specializing in AI applications, machine learning algorithms and platforms that leverage the value of the company’s time-series IoT building data, the release stated. Its new partners, Tagnos and Zan Compute, would use its data to power their applications for healthcare operational workflows and cleaning workloads and resource requirements, respectively, the company said.
