Dive Brief:
- Leo Facilities Maintenance, a service provider network backed by Orion Group, is partnering with RSM Facility Solutions to expand its footprint across the U.S. and Canada.
- As part of the partnership, Leo FM will offer multi-site commercial customers facilities maintenance services, including handyman, plumbing, electrical work and HVAC services, according to a news release issued Thursday. New Jersey-based RSM, in turn, will gain access to Leo FM’s workforce, work order management systems, predictive maintenance tools, mobile solutions, and training and development resources, the companies said.
- “Leo’s broad interior and exterior service capabilities encompass all recurring, responsive and restorative services that a building operator or property manager needs to maintain a facility in pristine condition,” said Orion Group co-CEO Isaiah Brown. “Property managers and facility operators will now be able to benefit from an even wider range of services with a deeper bench of technicians and vetted service providers.”
Dive Insight:
Leo FM said it is building a national facilities maintenance business by partnering with founder-owned businesses and supplying the resources they need to fuel growth. The partnership with RSM is Leo FM’s tenth investment in the facilities maintenance industry, per the release.
Founded in 1998, RSM delivers integrated facility management solutions for regional and national multisite commercial facilities through a team of specialists in key trades like plumbing, electrical, HVAC and handyman services.
The partnership with Leo FM “will give us access to additional resources, advanced technology, and broader market reach” and “enable us to enhance our services and deliver even greater value to our clients, allowing us to push the boundaries of what RSM can achieve,” RSM president and co-founder Stephen Sargenti said in a statement.
Leo will support the New Jersey-based company’s growth with its recruiting team, learning and development program and operational best practices garnered from similar investments in the space, according to Brown.
Integrating RSM into Leo FM expands its facility services and will help the provider to reach its goal of becoming a leading facility service provider for multi-site customers in the U.S., Brown said.
“We are looking to invest in super regional or national facility service providers to multi-site customers across the industrial, infrastructure, REIT, retail, restaurant, education and warehousing end markets,” Brown said.
