Dive Insight:
Supply chain disruptions pose continued challenges for many organizations. Twenty-nine percent of companies that responded to CBRE’s facilities management procurement survey listed supply chain disruptions as their number one facilities management procurement risk. Such disruptions can lead to delays in receiving materials or equipment and affect the ability to maintain and manage facilities effectively, CBRE says. To mitigate this risk, companies are working to diversify their supplier base, nearshoring and seeking alternative products and materials.
Organizations are also contending with inflation, leading operators to employ competitive sourcing and direct negotiations, service-level optimization and alternate products or services, CBRE says, noting that focusing on commitments to innovation, sustainability and workforce development can help companies “not only mitigate risks but also chart a path toward resilience and long-term success.”
ServiceTitan’s platform includes tools for scheduling, dispatching, service agreements, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, project management and customer relationship management.
By integrating ServiceTitan’s platform within Ferguson’s contractor network, the partnership aims to shield contractors from fluctuating costs and improve operators’ satisfaction with more accurate delivery timelines, per the release.
Features of the integration include real-time pricing updates that automate and boost visibility for up-to-date product and vendor cost data from Ferguson; an in-app procurement capability that helps ServiceTitan users submit purchase orders to Ferguson and simplified reconciliation through an ability to spot discrepancies by automatically comparing purchase orders, receipts and invoices, the companies said.
The agreement with Ferguson comes on the heels of ServiceTitan’s recent move to add end-to-end integration with computerized maintenance management system provider ServiceChannel, which seeks to coordinate work order submissions and reduce data entry frustrations across both companies' platforms.
