Temporary Wall Systems is set to open its third New Jersey location as it continues to expand its product across the country, according to a press release. The New Jersey venue is the 30th location TWS has unveiled in North America, according to its website.
The full-service temporary containment wall provider said the new location in The Meadowlands will help local businesses rein in additional waste that is created when disposable temporary walls are constructed to section off construction and renovation areas. Most contractors create these walls from drywall, producing unnecessary waste that flows into landfills once projects are completed, the company said.
“The TWS system is a win-win for the contractor and the customer," TWS Meadowlands franchise owner Ken Papile said in the release. "It's more cost effective for the contractor and eliminates the need to fill up a landfill with permanent building materials that were only used for a temporary purpose."
The Meadowlands’ location will open Sept. 4, on Labor Day. The launch comes just a day after TWS announced its intent to highlight its South Jersey location, which also recently opened, at the International Facility Management Association’s annual golf outing at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove, New Jersey, on Sept. 6.
TWS South Jersey owner Sam Adler said he hopes sponsorship of the golf event will generate awareness of the new location to facilities managers and general contractors in attendance.
“When I was looking for investment opportunities, I saw the Temporary Wall Systems franchise and fell in love with the model," Adler said in a release announcing TWS’ golf sponsorship. "During my research, I validated that a rental model for hard, modular temporary walls wasn't a 'nice to have' option, but a 'need to have' option."
Adler added that the reusable walls are fire-rated and meet the Infection Control Risk Assessment Best Practices in Health Care Construction. He also pointed to a need for temporary walls in health care facilities, labs, hotels, casinos, office spaces, universities and other commercial spaces that are beginning remodeling projects.
Founded in 2017 and franchised in 2022, TWS is a part of franchised residential and commercial property service brand parent HomeFront Brands. The temporary wall provider recently expanded with a Fort Worth location. Franchise owner Steve Holden said he opened that location due to demand for sustainable options in building renovations. “We want to help keep building materials out of landfills and our temporary, rentable walls are a perfect way to do this,” he said.
